I am definitely not in anyway a green fingered gardener. The truth is, I used to obliterate things. I had no patience, I forgot to water my plant life frequently. Each of them perished, in my apartment, that is. Then recently, prior to the meltdown, I improved to a home in a small town with the aim of working from home. Well, lots of my work dried up and I need to cut back...on my costs. That included dinning establishments and takeout. The lawn and soil out at the rear of the Barbeque area grew to become my new companion.
Not only did I discover the best way, even for an urbanite as i am, to very easily grow veggie crop after veg harvest...I also learned how to make our veggies pay my bills. Yeah...you read that correct...my veggies make me cash. I grow adequate vegetables in my small garden to not simply nourish my family members and considerably cut my food bills...but I additionally cash in on the vegetable bounty that we can't consume.
Many people shop for my organically grown, home harvested produce...by the crate load. Week in , week out, I earn money from tomato plants, corn, potates and lots of additional veggies.

ReplyDeleteYou have put in some nice thoughts about growing vegetables organically. I feel that there is a further advancement in the idea and that is growing easy vegetables in an ecological manner. Actually, Growing food in an ecological manner is not hard work, especially when you have nature helping you 24/7. A small area can provide us with such a bounty of food and that too with lowest amount of time and minimum of physical efforts required. The key principles for growing easy vegetables in an ecological manner are:
1. Plant densely
2. Plant a diversity of plants within a given area
3. Get a good composting system set up and use the compost as a surface mulch on bare patches
4. Allow some plants to go to seed
5. Only interfere with the system when a single species of plant over-dominates and simply scratch out excess plants when they are small.
